<p><strong>Learning Objectives for this week are the following: Going to the sea-side </strong></p>
<p><strong>Pre-schoolers:</strong><br />
To be able to talk to the other children when playing, and will communicate freely about home and community</p>
<p><strong>Toddlers:</strong><br />
To be able to form a special friendship with another child</p>
<p><strong>Babies:</strong><br />
To be able to play alongside others or be able to build relationship with special people</p>
<p><em>“When spending time with your children, encourage critical thinking in different ways, this will enable children to analyse, compare and make sense of information”. </em></p>
<p><strong>Role-play:</strong><br />
Ice-cream vendor (van, supermarket, gelato stall)</p>
<p><strong>Small world:</strong><br />
sea-life, dollies, diggers, zoo animals, people having picnic</p>
<p><strong>Construction:</strong><br />
Wooden Blocks, Legos, Mega blocks, Train tracks, tinker toys</p>
<p><strong>Creative:</strong><br />
Drawing faces, drawing a sea ,blue, brown beach, what can children think of when they are at the sea side</p>
<p><strong>Literacy:</strong><br />
Water Story Book, Teddy’s Bear Picnic, Pip &amp; Posy</p>
<p><strong>Vocabulary:</strong><br />
Ice cream, sea, sand, sea water, ocean, shells</p>
<p><strong>Mark making:</strong><br />
chalk, paint, crayons, writing names etc.</p>
<p><strong>Maths:</strong><br />
counting sea shells, money etc.</p>
<p><strong>Communication &amp; Language through Circle time:</strong><br />
Introduce Routines e.g. circle time, home time, snack time etc. Talk about Our Golden Rules. “Sharing is caring” Develop language, singing songs: number songs, action songs and rhymes</p>
<p><strong>Sensory Activities:</strong><br />
Individual sensory play Coloured rice, coral, shells, etc.</p>
<p><strong>Physical:</strong><br />
Indoor – Bowling, Basketball, Action songs, Parachute</p>
<p><strong>Investigation:</strong><br />
where will you like to go on a holiday, would you go to a sea-side, texture/colour of a sand/sea.</p>
<p><strong>ICT:</strong><br />
Interactive Table, Cash tills, telephone, writing pad, laptops, musical toys</p>
<p><strong>Outdoor:</strong><br />
Mud kitchen, Balancing Beams, Bikes, and Rockers, Balancing on the Climbing Frame, Sand Pit, and Water Tray.</p>
