Young children learn best through play-based approaches rather than through formal teaching. Play supports children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development, and helps them learn to co-operate, negotiate and overcome various challenges. Little Stars Preschool has activities that incorporate the areas of development, play, rest and meals. The weekly newsletter will inform parents of what their child has been learning that week, and also what they will be doing the following week, and also provide details of activities parents can follow-up with at home. As each family has individual requirements, we work with parents to incorporate their child’s routines and requirements into their daily routine in the setting (such as daily nap-times). The weekly schedules are also clearly visible for parents on our notice board, where parents can also find information about local community events and partnerships we have with the community.
We offer a range of extra-curricular activities, included in the fees at no extra cost.
Zumba for Kids: Perfect for our young Zumba fans! Children 2-4 years old get the chance to socialize with friends and jam out to their favourite songs. Zumba kids’ classes are rock in dance with child-friendly routines. We break down steps, add games, activities and cultural exploration elements into the class routine. Zumba helps children to develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of their lives. Classes incorporate key childhood development elements such as respect, team work, confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination, balance, and cultural awareness.

Combining fun with exercise, children go on sea adventures where they swim like a fish, farm adventures where they may baa like a sheep and wild adventures where they may roar like a lion or blast into outer space.
